Aurora, New Delhi
Aurora is one of our most dynamic installations. We have installed it at a couple of places, and with every installation, there is something new to learn. While the concept remains repetitive, the design process never is. Each context is different—the site, the people involved, the constraints—and every variable reshapes the journey of design each time.
We are often asked:
Do you want to stick to rattan and bamboo for your work?
Why limit yourself to one or two materials when there is such a vast ocean to explore?
True. But what if a single material offers enough challenges to keep us constantly engaged?
Is it really necessary to run the rat race, or is it enough to be happy and content doing what one truly enjoys?
At this moment, we are having the time of our lives working with these humble materials. Nobody knows what the future holds—but for now, let’s enjoy the present. Let’s embrace the turns, the twists, and the intricacies of our lives, just like our installation Aurora. Same material, new stories—every single time.
